A Summer to Plan For...
Take off the winter jackets and throw on some shorts and flip flops. Summer is right around the corner and so are some fabulous reasons to celebrate. The month of May starts the season-o-fun and includes the Kentucky Derby (May 3rd), Cinco De Mayo (May 5th), Mother's Day (May 11th), Graduations, and Memorial Day (May 26th). Not to mention that May is the month with the most birthdays. June and July have very important reasons to celebrate as well. June is the month with the most weddings and people pay tribute to Dads on Father's Day (June 15th). Also, Flag Day (June 14th) presents itself. July holds Independence Day (July 4th) where fireworks and sparklers light the sky.
Summer party tips...
Here are some quick tips for planning some of your summer festivities. For the Kentucky Derby consider big hats, horse betting, mint juleps, ticket invitations, and some tasty southern food prepared by a talented caterer. Mariachis, margarita maker, mexican food, and sombreros are perfect for Cinco De Mayo. For Mother's Day, have flowers delivered to a place where the most people are around her. Even if you have to send them on a day other than Mother's Day. Girls love to get flowers when others are watching. Consider a "Come as you will be" graduation party where all guests are encouraged to dress in the attire of their future jobs. Also, keep in mind that you can never go wrong with a barbeque.
So, start betting on the horses and blending the margaritas because the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo are right around the corner. And if you haven't already, order your mom some flowers. Enjoy!
