    • Holiday Housewarming

    • If you have recently moved into a new house during the holidays, then this party idea is for you. Warm up the apple cider, chill the punch, and invite your friends and family to your new abode. Send invitations out at least 1 month in advance. For invitations consider wrting the event information on the back of a photo of your new home. Don’t worry about decorations. Decorate your home the way you usually would during the holidays. Greet guests and offer to take their coats and handbags. Introduce the beverages and allow guests to mingle. After most guests arrive, provide a tour of your home and include your ideas about future plans. The food served should reflect the holiday celebrated. If your housewarming falls near July 4th, plan for a barbeque. If your housewarming falls near Thanksgiving, plan for fall flavors. Planned activities are optional. Consider decorating gingerbread houses for a winter party, outdoor games in the spring and summer, and boardgames in the fall. Party favors for guests should have a personal touch. Personalized party favors include etched glass, self-decorated ornaments, frame with photo, and anything else that your guests can keep for a while. party
