Inexpensive and Cute Baby Shower Party Favors

    • One of the most important days in a woman’s life is when she hears those two words “You’re pregnant”. Expecting is a beautiful thing and we celebrate this by having baby showers. Along with finding a place to have the shower, who to invite, the catering and budget there needs to be some focus on what the baby shower party favors are going to be. Favors are a great way to show appreciation to guests for attending and to send them home with a little gift to remember the special day.

A cute and creative baby shower party favor idea is personalized candy bars. Not only is this option inexpensive but what person doesn’t like some chocolate? Normally, people will go with Hershey chocolate bars and get the wrapper personalized to their liking. Instead of a regular Hershey chocolate bar, another option is to go with Hershey kisses. You can wrap a couple of kisses together in blue or pink colored cellophane and insert a small piece of elegant typed out paper with your personalized greeting on it.

Another great baby shower party favor idea is to take a trip to your local dollar store and pick up some votive candles and candle holders. It would be suggested to get either pink or blue votives, depending on the sex of the child you are expecting. You can use the votive candle holders and personalize them any way you want, either by yourself or by a professional. This option is very inexpensive as each votive and votive holder will only cost you about a buck each.

If you are the real thrifty type then you can even put together your own baby shower party favors. You can pick up large bags of colorful candies like gummy bears, gummy worms, and jelly beans. Place the candy in small personalized little bags and tie the bags up with a ribbon and send your guests away with that. Instead of the candy, you can even bake some delicious cookies and do the same. There are many cookie cutter shapes out there such as rattles, mittens, cradles and bottles.

Some other suggestions that won’t hurt your pockets are tea sachets, flower gift boxes, bar soaps, small piggy banks and baby bottles filled with small candies. Regardless of what party favors you decide to go with, always try to make the favors unique, personalized and cute. Use your imagination!
