Candle Wedding Favors
-
Many brides choose to give their wedding guests candle wedding favors. The warmth and beauty of a candlelight ceremony makes the gift of candles meaningful. These candles can represent the new flame that is made once the bride and groom are joined together as one husband and wife. The choices of candles available to the bride are seemingly endless, and ideas for their presentation and packaging are also abundant. The bride’s budget is the only limiting factor in selecting which type of candles she will use as wedding favors. From tealights to tapers, candles can be charming wedding favors. Many people think that white would be the only appropriate color to choose for these candle favors; however, ivory, gold, silver, and even pastel colors would be attractive choices. The bride can adorn either the candle itself or a candle holder with the couple’s new monogram. This can be applied by the bride herself, or they may be commercially printed. A tag may be attached to the candle, which graciously thanks the wedding guest for sharing in the joy of their special day. The tag or card may be attached by ribbon, raffia, or metallic cording, depending on the color scheme and theme of the bride’s choice. A simple votive candle can make a charming memento of the wedding day, especially when wrapped in bridal tulle, satin fabric, or even homespun type fabric and tied with coordinating ribbon. Large quantities of beautifully wrapped votive candles can be presented in baskets, crystal bowls, or on silver trays. A bride could also choose to give taper candles as a wedding favor, either single tapers or wrapped in a bundle of three tied with the ribbon of her choice with her personalized thank-you card attached. Preferably the ribbon tied around the bouquet of taper candles should be one of the colors the bride has chosen as a color for her wedding theme. A more expensive choice would be a candle which is poured into a glass container with a lid. The lid could be embossed with the bride and groom’s newly shared monogram along with their wedding date. This is a choice for the bride who has an unlimited budget for her favors. For an outdoor wedding, the budget-conscious bride can make charming hanging tealights for her guests by using baby food jars adorned with color coordinated ribbon and attaching a wire hanger so that the lights could be hung in the trees. Candles are the perfect choice for brides to use as wedding favors.
