     ABOUT THIS THEME

     This is a great teenage party theme based on the hit TV reality game show The Amazing Race.  Teens will create teams and race around the town following clues and completing pit stop challenges at each destination.      ATTIRE
     Everyone should dress in comfortable clothing they can be active in.  Shorts and shirts are perfect.  Each team will be assigned a color, so it would coordinate best if each team had something to wear in that color to unify their team. 

     ACTIVITIES The activities will be the pit stops.  Each team will start out with a clue that will lead them to a certain destination.  When they reach that destination, known as a pit stop, they will have to complete a challenge in order to receive the next clue and proceed in the race.  Challenges can be physical, mental, or creative.  The options are limitless.

     DECORATION At the end of the race teams will meet back up at your house or planned party venue.  Decorate ideas could include yellow and red balloons, hanging inflatable globes from the ceilings, and maps of the world on the wall. You could also use the amazing race logo throughout your party. Other than that, just think travel and international flair!

     FOOD For food you can go with something simple and easy such as pizza, cake, and ice cream.  If you want to do something more consider having a variety of different foods from different places, an “around the world” buffet perhaps.  This can include a little Italian, Japanese, German etc..

     FAVORS  For party favors or prizes I would make a winners certificate, maybe custom t-shirts for all contestants stating that they participated in (NAME) Amazing Race Party.  Another favor idea is personalized water bottles.
