Neighborhood Pot Luck
Ask neighbors to participate in a party where 2-6 houses host different elements of the party. One house starts with appetizers, the next house does soup and salad, and so on. Set the time spent at each house and how the party will be financed. Does each house agree on a set amount? Do the attendees chip in?
