     i was planning on having a sweet sixteen bash at a center in my local area. i haven’t had an actual birthday party since i was like 10 so i thought a sweet sixteen would be great. it’s not gonna be a small party but more like a grand event. i would expect atleast 100+ guest to be coming. my theme for this party isn’t just one certain idea but more like a couple tied into one. i have the hollywood theme, with oscars, movie night, and just the color black & gold. my goal for this party is to make my guest to feel like superstars. i know they’re all superstar status. i was gonna have black top hats and gold crowns as favors. as well as black & gold beads and paty horns. i thought i might add some glow in the dark jewelry since the lights will be off on the dance floor the majority of the time. i wanted to have just black & gold decor everywhere. a red carpet will be outside as my guest come in. signs like “vip only” and “celebrity status” will be on the walls in certain areas. black & gold balloons in each corner and on the floor. there is a big window in the center on the side of the dance floor so i thought i could cover that up with some type of black material and put a big picture of me in the middle of it. i’m gonna have a big banner by the dj booth that says it’s my sweet sixteen and cut outs of my name on each wall. i wanted “lights camera action” hangings over the bathroom area and gold stars everywhere. my tables are going to have black tablecovers with gold & “lights camera action” confetti all over them with those small candles that seem to be burning but really aren’t. for the menu i am going to have ribs because it seems great for a summer party. also those little sandwiches, vegetable trays, fruit kabobs, and to drink non-alcohol strawberry daiquiris. i am going to have a chocolate fountain and strawberries, pretzels, and other food for my guest to dip in the chocolate. i’m also gonna have a cooler filled with sodas for the people who don’t want the daiquiris. the daiquiris are gonna be in a margarita glass with a little umbrella just as if it were really alcohol but its not going to be. i’m going to try to hire a photographer so i can set up a scene and my guests can take photos. i want about 3 huge poster of me hanging from the ceiling and twisting around so everyone can see. i’m gonna have a DJ playing some of the hottest music and a microphone so one of my best friends can sing happy birthday to me. my invitaions are from the “star event” theme and they look like the envelopes that they open on the oscars. i’m going to hand out about 60 to 70 of those and also flyers. i’m gonna have confetti all over the floor with fake money so all my friends can throw it in the air and “make it rain”. this party is going to be the best ever. i can’t wait.
