Thanksgiving Party
-
By: Amy of Fort Worth, Texas
A Thankful Thanksgiving. First, you want to set your TV room up for the men, and their football game. Men need to be entertained too! Set light orderves out along the coffee table. Fresh veggies with ranch dressing should do the trick. Decorate the room with a festive football theme mixed in with a light autumn touch. This should keep them out of the kitchen while Thanksgiving Dinner is prepared. Second, use another room for the children. Use autumn color streamers and large pumpkins to decorate this room. Children get pretty bored waiting to eat, so have a family member be incharge of involving them with doing Thankful Crafts here! Use construction paper and pop-sycle sticks to make turkeys. make the children label each turkey with something they are thankful for. Next take small ceramic flower pots and fill them with top soil. Stick the thankful turkeys into the pots, like a flower arrangement. You will use these for your center pieces at the dinner table. Another craft that will keep them busy is to decorate the pumpkins that you have used to decorate the room. Using temper paints, let them create faces, murals or even paint their family on them. While The Dinners cooking, Go ahead and set that table. Plates, napkins, forks knives, the whole nine yards. Using construction paper, create card with your quest names on them and place them on the plates were you want them to set. After setting your table with all the delicious foods, have every body sit in their place. Before serving and saying a prayer, go around the table and let everyone announce what they are really thankful for. This will be a Thanksgiving to remember. But the best part is, everyone will have a great time. You will not feel like you did not cater to everyone’s individual entertainment needs.
