• Class on a Budget Bachelorette Party Idea

    • This Bachelorette party idea was brought to you by Alexandra Sabbag, public relations for OneWed

This party was put together on a fairly strict budget and short timeline. My friend is a conservative gal - very pastels and pearls and her party not only reflected and respected her taste, but managed to let her hair down a bit towards the end without causing (too big of) a scene.

For starters, only the bridal party was invited to participate in the limo and dinner portion of the event. As the organizer, I handmade the invitations, reserved the dinner and limo, bought liquor for the limo, took care of any miscellaneous expenses and totaled the cost days before the event. Everyone paid upfront which eliminated any arguments over the dinner bill, tipping the limo, etc. I highly recommend dealing with finances well before the party so everyone involved knows exactly how much their financial commitment for the evening is going to be. Everyone contributed roughly $130 for the limo, BYOB sushi dinner and refreshments for the limo.

After dinner we took the limo to two of our favorite college bars. We all went to school in Chicago (most of us still reside here) so it was a perfect meeting place for other gals to join in. From there, we made our way further downtown, stopping at a piano bar and a few other touristy attractions along the way. Since we were all watching costs, we hit the bars to find a few "sponsors", a tactic I highly recommend. Lucky for us, we came across a few groups full of generosity who donated a few drinks to our celebratory evening.

We ditched the limo around 2 and at this point, gals started to drop off. The bride herself only made it until about 1, but the rest of us continued on. By 4 a.m. only the best of the bridesmaids were left standing. The next morning we all met at our favorite brunch spot to relive the craziness and pop a cocktail to ease the hangover. party
