Graduation Party Ideas
-
Here is an email that I received from Channing Moore of GirlAdmiral.com She has some great graduation party ideas. Enjoy.
Here are some great tips for a fantastic graduation party!
1.) “A Road to Success”- have a white runner (spray paint it black with the white streaks to look like a road). Have the runner as a walk way when guests arrive.
2.) A quest book- have an old fashion type writer in replace of the quest book. This gives an interesting and yet vintage taste to add to the memories of graduation.
3.) Tassels for the drinks- 2009 tassels on the stem of the drinks.
4.) Wash clothes- In the heat of summer everyone is always looking for ways to stay cool at a party. A decorative cooler or tub of white wash clothes rolled with 2009 tassels to make it more decorative.
5.) Framed Photos- Have an enlarged framed photo of the graduate as a center piece so all the guests can sign it.
6.) Decorations- Large styrofoam initials of the college. You can spray paint them the school colors and decorate them as well.
7.) Paper bag luminary- sand and candles to set a night time theme and to keep the bugs away! The bags can also be decorated schools colors, 2009 etc.
8.) Music- A play list “The best of the last four years, bring back the memories.”
9.) Slid show- funniest bluppers of the last four years, “The last year book”.
10.) Food- make your own ice cream sand which station.
11.) Games! Career photo booth- have set backgrounds as lawyer, businessman/woman, fireman, policeman, navy uniform, Dr./nurse scrubs.
-“Latter Golf”- Basically it is like horse shoes except that there is a a set made with three tiers and the objective is to toss the rope that has plastic balls onto the tiers and the tiers are from lowest (bottom tier) to the highest (top tier). The college game can be translated to “Who makes the first million” and for high school the teams can compete for the highest GPA.
-To go alone with the play list, the best songs of the last four years, a fun game can be “Name that tune.” Parents vs. the graduates.
