5 Tips to Becoming the Best Hostess Ever
Amaze your guests by becoming the best hostess ever. We’re not talking mediocre. We’re talking the best. A great hostess is paramount to having the best party ever. Follow the 5 easy tips below to become the host of a party that your guests will always remember.
Tantalize the 5 senses-
Keep your guests engaged and mesmerized by tantalizing their 5 senses. The senses include taste, touch, see, smell, hear. When your guests arrive, which of their senses do you want to captivate. Continue to imagine their experience as they navigate through your brilliant event. What do they hear? Does the food correlate with the lighting? As time passes, try to keep their mind saying wow and making the connection that wow equals you. At the end of the event, give a favor that summarizes the activities. The favor provides a tactile memory that they can cherish for years to come.
Plan fun activities-
Nothing kills a party like boredom. Spice up your event and kill the boredom bug with fun activities. Some fun activities include hosting a theme party, organizing a contest, orchestrating interactive food/dring preparation, playing games, dancing, playing poker . . . you get the point.
Put on your happy face-
A good attitude develops effortlessly when you limit event planning stress. To limit the stress plan ahead and formulate an alternate plan, just in case. During your party smile a lot. Your guests will act according to your mood. If you’re stressed, your guests will try to alleviate your mood instead of having a good time. Also, don’t get smashed. You shouldn’t be a party pooper at your own party.
Greet and introduce-
When your guests arrive, be the first to greet them. Show them where the bar is & introduce them to others with similar interests. It helps if you have a spouse or someone else willing to help. It smoothes the greet and introduce process. Imagine yourself at a party where you don’t know anyone. It feels uncomfortable. Your guests will remember your kindness.
Respect the flow-
Don’t get too wrapped up in following a time table. Your schedule may require an activity at a certain time, however, if the people at your party are having fun, wait a few minutes. If your party feels slow, start an activity sooner. You’ll be admired for knowing when to let loose and when to spice up a party.
BonusBe humble-
When everyone tells you how great your party was, reply with a humble remark. Something like, “Yeah, it turned out pretty well. The guests really made it great though. Thank you for coming. You’ll have to plan on attending another party soon.” Your guests will love that you thought of them before your self. It always melts the heartstrings.
Now that you know the 5 Tips to Becoming the Best Hostess Ever, get out there and plan your fabulous event. Your guests are awaiting your party planning brilliance. ;-)All the best,
