• LEGO Star Wars Birthday Party Ideas

    • For those who love Star Wars and LEGOs, the two can be combined for an awesome child’s birthday party. This is a great party theme for all age groups prior to the teenage years.

To start, have all the guests come to the party dressed as their favorite Star Wars character or LEGO piece. If a small party is in the plans, one could already have the costumes available for the children when they arrive at the party. This is can be done cheaply by purchasing the costumes once they are on clearance after the Halloween season is over. LEGO costumes can be made by painting big cardboard boxes and paper cups the same color, cutting holes for the arms and head, and gluing the paper cups in the appropriate places.

Decorations can include large LEGO pieces made out of shoe boxes constructed similar to the costume idea above. Have an assortment of balloons throughout the party area, both in bright, bold colors and in the Star Wars theme. Streamers in bright or dark colors can also add a party-like atmosphere. Don’t forget the Darth Vader piñata.

For LEGO games, have a LEGO Scavenger Hunt. Hide LEGO pieces throughout the house and have the children find as many as they can. Assign each colored LEGO a point value such as red being worth 10 points and so forth. You could also choose to hide Star Wars LEGO mini figures. Once the game is over have everyone add up their points. Having each point category being worth a certain prize will ensure that each child receives a prize. The kids could also play Build a Tower, though this will require having a lot of LEGOs available. The kids compete in building the highest tower in a limited amount of time.

Make sure to have Star Wars music playing in the background. The kids can also have fun painting faces alien-style. Have pictures of Star Wars characters they can try to copy. Or, have a Build a Droid contest, using recycled materials from around the house. The party favors can consist of Star Wars stickers and tattoos, inflatable light sabers, and LEGO gum.

Don't forget to bring encourage your guests to bring LEGO Star Wars sets as a gift for the birthday boy/girl. party
