   • Hot Air Balloon Picture Center

     Using Hot Air Balloons as the theme of the party, make one large hot air balloon as the main decoration/focus of the party. Use 3x4 pieces of lattes fencing to make a three sided gondola basket. Behind them place a sturdy piece of cardboard and paint it the color you would like. (Spray paint works well, Brown is the traditional color of a gondola basket.)
     For the balloon itself, you have two options.
     1.) get a sheet, or sheets of fabric and make a large square. Use a hula-hoop or other round object to sew or glue the edges of the sheet around. once you have this together, fill regular party balloons with helium and let them fill the sheet. Secure balloon to gondola with rope. (only use this option if your gondola basket is heavy enough to keep everything grounded!)
     2.) Make a wire frame and stretch fabric across frame. Attach with 2x4’s or other strong support beams. Paint or decorate fabric to your liking.

     With the second option, the view is only good from face-on. The first option is good for side shots as well.
